 Spotted Gum (Corymbia Maculata)

The word "spotted" refers to the soft mottled colour caused by weathering of the outer tree as it sheds elliptical strips of bark. This colour varies from pale greybrowns and soft creams to a rich chocolate brown. A very tough timber, its frequent wavy grain can produce an attractive and highly valued fiddleback effect.

 Ironbark (Eucalyptus paniculata/crebra)

This tree produces a stunning array of timber hues from pale brown to dark chocolate brown and also dark, luscious reds. The grain is usually interlocked, with a moderately coarse texture. Ironbark is of the highest durability (Class 1) resistant to white ant and termite infestation. It is supplied as a mixture of Red and Grey Ironbark.

 Mixed Hardwood

This is a mixture of durable Eucalypt species giving an array of colour tones and textures for our harsh Australian environment.

Merbau (Kwila)

Merbau is a hardwood ideally suited to outdoor decking. Not only does it have a beautiful grain and appearance, it is regarded as one of the world's most durable timbers. An abundance of natural oil in the wood ensures your deck looks good, is easy to maintain and lasts for many years...in all conditions!

Commercial Hardwood Decking

Is used in the construction of timber decks, boardwalks, bridges, jetties as well as a vast majority of other platform and structural applications.

Spotted Gum is particularly referred to as a natural durable species which can enhance your deck by using our structural F14, F17 and F27 in Pergola and Sunshade construction. Commercial decking is available dressed or rough sawn and is available in large section sizes and features the highest strength group rating for superior span capacity.

Our commercial decking timbers are manufactured to Australian standards 2796.

Spotted Gum is a popular and preferred ‘Fire Rated' timber by all local councils and government bodies.

Decking Coatings

We stock a range of Sikkens Products to coat your deck. Sikkens Woodcare Coatings provide maximum durability, protecting the wood with a high build coating, stabilising the grain and providing a barrier between the wood surface and the elements.

Cetol HLS is a highly water repellent, penetrating, low build transparent wood stain used as a base coat under Cetol Deck and Deck Plus. It comes is a variety of colours and tin sizes.

The Cetol deck is a highly water repellent, weather resistant coating for use over HLS. It provides a great UV protection and is available in a 1, 5 and 20 litre tins.

Cetol Deck Plus provides the same great benefits as the Cetol deck but with the added benefit of a slip resistant coating.
