Slab Dressing Services Available

When you purchase a rustic natural edge slab from Garde Timber we can prepare it to your requirements and specifications. Below are some of the steps we take when preparing timber slabs for dressing.

Specifications

• Level and sand it so both faces are parallel with each other – usually a 40 mm finish.
• Cut off or shape natural edges so are smooth to touch ready for polishing.
• Rout edges with pencil round profile.
• Finish sanding to 180 or 240 grit sandpaper.
• Please note coating of your single piece slab should be sealed on all faces as soon as possible to prevent cupping.
